As the job market becomes more competitive, students are looking for any advantage they can get. Things Matter works with with Connecticut-based organizations and universities to provide opportunities for students to get hands-on experience and develop the skills needed to launch their professional careers.
Marketing & Communications
Students familiarize themselves with how marketing activities are applied in a real world scenario. The students will learn various aspects of marketing such as branding, messaging and media planning.
We empower our interns to explore and take part in communicating about Things Matter activities within our local community and building stronger ties between people and organizations.
Students will have the opportunity to work within our marketing and design guidelines to help us diversify our social media presence and grow our organization reach.

After doing a lot of online research and learning about Things Matter, I was really excited to be selected to be a Things Matter intern. During my time here, I was privileged enough to be able to work alongside marketing team. I met a great deal of new people who have similar interests as me. The internship also gave me a chance to grow as a person while getting some real world experience. The projects I got to be involved in had clear deadlines which helped me get out of my comfort zone and learn how to manage my time effectively.
